Our world would now be inconceivable without electronic components. Electronic devices now perform monitoring and control functions in every area of modern life.
These components, most of which are installed on printed circuit boards or on bus bars, perform a wide range of tasks and also meet requirements. Before they can be considered safe for users, these devices need to satisfy legislative requirements and other directives.
To meet these demanding requirements, assemblies and products need solutions to protect them from problems such as electrical flashover, creepage currents, thermal management or electromagnetic compatibility.
With a broad material portfolio, SCHLÖSSER offers many solutions from a single source, including advice on material selection.
Membranes are used for the 2-way ventilation of housings. While in operation or through temperature fluctuations, positive and negative pressures can occur in the housing. This can damage parts, components and also the housing, with an adverse impact on functionality. The membrane also prevents the ingress of water, oil or fuel products to the housing from external sources. This assures seamless operation of the electronics.
Heat conductive films dissipate heat during the operation of electronic components, primarily in the power electronics and lighting industries.
The battery must operate reliably and safely to assure the seamless operation of electric vehicles. As well as the battery management system and cell chemistry, sealing technology also has a significant role to play. Good temperature resistance is required together with a reliable seal. The part shown here is a cover for the customer area on an inverter. As mentioned above, high temperature resistance is required alongside a reliable seal. The material used also performs excellent bridging of tolerances between housing and cover. Here at Schlösser, we also guarantee great technical cleanliness and a high level of process reliability.
Electronic parts and components in the industrial and automotive sectors are installed in a housing, and these require 2-way ventilation, especially when used outdoors.
Due to the heating of electrical components during operation and the resulting temperature differences to ambient air, condensation can form inside the housing.
Humidity levels therefore need to be reduced using pressure equalisation membranes (PEM) from SCHLÖSSER. These perform a forced air exchange, extending the service life of components by minimising corrosion and short circuits.
Similar to the principle of a functional jacket, this prevents the ingress of water from an outside source up to a defined water column as well as the ingress of dust and dirt to the component.
Schlösser ventilation membranes can be installed manually or automatically as a self-adhesive variant, or can be provided on an adhesive substrate strip. These are different delivery options for supply to our customers.
We do more than just manufacture your Technical Parts to the highest standards of quality. We also assemble, inspect and clean them reliably – for example in our ISO Class 8 cleanrooms.
Naturally, our procedural operations extend right across the supply chain: We do not just apply high standards to production and processing but also to the corresponding sequence of processes and logistics extending from the properties of unprocessed materials all the way through to delivery and assembly in our production facility.
You absolutely can place your full confidence in us as a highly capable partner for projects involving enhanced levels of technical cleanliness. Under cleanroom conditions, we can provide a wide range of services for your products. These include material cutting, laminating, converting/punching, testing, cleaning and packaging.
SCHLÖSSER can supply a diverse range of materials from its own portfolio but it can also procure anything else that customers might wish to use. When doing so, we ensure that we use materials with an established track record for a given application, ones that meet quality and availability criteria. We are well positioned to do this through our capable network of partners.
The world of seals and technical plastic components is a multi-faceted one. Also true of our production processes. Depending on the material or the desired quantity and form of delivery, SCHLÖSSER can provide you with the optimum production process for manufacturing the parts you need efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
Ideal for producing small quantities or prototypes rapidly and cost-effectively. This broad range of options underscores the high level of flexibility that laser cutting is able to offer.
Efficient processes – the stroke and rotary method of blade cutting as well as shear cutting method – at various levels of automation: quick, precise and cost-effective for short, medium and long production runs.
As with laser cutting, no dedicated tool is required. Geometric modifications can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively, ideal for the manufacture of short production runs (e.g. samples, mini-series).
Which other applications and function are of interest for sensors and actuators? Take a look around!
